This organization is devoted to improving
the quality of life for Hispanics in Northern Virginia and is the oldest
and largest bilingual and bicultural agency in the area. Our goals are
to make Hispanics fully contributing mem-bers of society, build a healthier
Hispanic pop-ulation and mobilize the broader community to help us in our
efforts. This organization offers resources in job development; health
and edu-cation; immigration; mental health; tax assis-tance; information
and referral; social services; notarization and translations; and voter
regis-tration. HCV is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3), commu-nity- based organization
supported by funding from local counties, the United Way, founda-tion grants,
corporate gifts and private dona-tions. In FY 1996, HCV served 19,000 people
with over 76,000 services.
